Épinassey — Solar, storage and full backup

An installation combining rooftop solar generation, a solar PV fence, batteries and surplus energy use in a buffer tank.

224 panels · 92.08 kWp · 86.4 kWh nominal storage

Roof: 80 panels, 28 kWp, SolarEdge 30 kVA inverter and optimisers. Fence: 144 panels rated 445 Wp, totalling 64.08 kWp, with a Huawei 30 kVA inverter.

Storage: 18 Pylontech US5000 batteries and three Victron MultiPlus-II inverter/chargers rated 10 kVA each. Solar surplus is used in a 1,500-litre buffer tank with 4 / 12 / 16 kW heating elements.

During a grid outage, the panels continue generating electricity to supply the building and charge the batteries, depending on sunlight and system capacity.

35 panels rated 425 Wp, totalling 14.88 kWp, with a SolarEdge Home Hub 10 kVA inverter.

13.8 kWh of storage : three 4.6 kWh batteries.

Water heater element managed by a controller connected to SolarEdge Home Network, to make use of solar surplus.

Charging station: SolarEdge EV 22 kW, configured to 16 kW maximum.

Full backup : the panels continue generating electricity during a grid outage to supply the building and charge the batteries, depending on sunlight and system capacity.

Proxim ORiNOCO Mesh separates the 5 GHz links between access points from 2.4 GHz user access. The mesh adapts communication paths if a device fails.
