From connectivity to energy: a comprehensive engineering approach
Founded in April 2006 by Miralem Okanovic, ECOM Solutions Sàrl supports projects in telecommunications, energy generation and storage, heating and air conditioning.
Our approach is based on an overall understanding of requirements: design, size and integrate systems that work together, then support their commissioning and operation.

My career began with practical training, earning a Swiss Federal VET Diploma (CFC) in electrical installation in 1997, followed by a Technical Federal Vocational Baccalaureate in 1998.
From 1998 to 2001, I studied electrical engineering, specialising in telecommunications, atEIA Fribourg, part of HES-SO, on a bilingual French–German programme.
This combination of practical and technical training underpins my work: understanding systems as a whole, from design to operation in the field.
From early experience to entrepreneurship
I started my career at ACN — Advanced Communications Networks SA in Neuchâtel, working in research and development on power line communications — PLC, Power Line Communications — and in network integration for LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi.
These assignments gave me experience with several environments and manufacturers, including Cisco, 3Com, Enterasys and Cabletron.
After a period at Mailler Électricité SA in Monthey, where I had completed my apprenticeship, I helped co-foundEtna Solutions SA, before establishing ECOM Solutions Sàrl in April 2006.
Twenty years of projects and development
From the deployment of public Wi-Fi in Montreux in 2006 to international surveys and support for the Canton of Vaud's Wi-Fi infrastructure since 2010, ECOM has grown through practical projects.
Today, this experience also covers building energy solutions: solar PV, storage, backup, heat pumps and air conditioning.
The guiding principle remains the same: combine technical design with practical realities to develop solutions suited to their intended use.
